Why Blog?

When my best friend told me I should start a blog last spring, my first reaction was to say that I had nothing worth blogging about. Afterall, nobody likes reading the random thoughts of people they don’t really know.  I started one to appease my friend, occasionally blogging about workouts and races.

Then in June 2009, I was hospitalized with complications due to cystic fibrosis. Even though I was diagnosed at 3 months of age, this was only my second hospitalization. One day while on bed rest at home, I found inspiration and hope in www.jerrycahill.com.  Blogging became a sort of therapeutic release for me. I realized that people could probably learn from my experiences. I know I have.
